You are all invited…
…to the Harbor WildWatch Cocktails & Fishtails – certain to inform and enlighten – keeping you current on science and our environment.
Mark your calendar for the 3rd Wednesday (5:30-7pm) of each month (Feb – Nov) at our very own Harbor History Museum in downtown Gig Harbor for a Fishtale science chat with a social element of a no-host cocktail bar (offered for 21+). You are welcome to bring along your own dinner to munch on as the program progresses. Members are free, only $5 for non-members (What a deal!)
Next Cocktails & Fishtails is Wednesday September 20th (5:30 – 7pm)
Jennifer will describe the Nearshore Protection and Restoration program that is set-up to monitor toxic contaminants in the Puget Sound using caged mussels that are transplanted from a local aquaculture source. She will tell us what they are learning from this research. Why use mussels? Why does it matter?
Jennifer has over 15 years of experience in the field of marine ecology as a field researcher, data analyst and published author, and has been with WDFW since 2008.
Keep up on current scientific topics and feel free to bring a guest.
Doors open at 5:30 pm and the presentation begins at 6:00 pm. Drinks will be available for purchase; feel free to bring a takeout dinner and your questions!
