This popular festival takes place in the picturesque waterfront district of Gig Harbor.    And it is free! The 34th Annual Gig Harbor Summer Art Festival features unique and original art and crafts, music, food booths, authors and illustrators, artist demonstrations, children’s activities and the Peninsula Art League Members’ Art Exhibit. Proceeds from the Art Festival provide art scholarships for local students and PAL members. Proceeds are also shared with the Gig Harbor community and out-of-town visitors through our art shows, workshops and other educational programs. A free shuttle from Kimball Drive is available.

The concept for the Round Rock Contest is simple: Participants search for the roundest natural rock they can find and submit it to the Harbor History Museum between July 24th and August 1st, 2018. The winners of the Round Rock Contest will be announced at the Harbor History Museum Vintage Fair on August 11. Cash prizes will be awarded to the five rocks judged to be the most perfectly rounded rocks.
