Join us for a celebration and rally for our schools at the 3rd annual SUP IN THE HARBOR!

There will be paddle boarding (races & parade) for all ages and skills, but participation is not required- bring your own paddle board and life vest. (Required by law) If you want to paddle board (or any human powered craft) registration is required. Help us break our record of 103 paddle boarders!

New this year, bring your dog and SUP with your PUP in the parade!

Schedule of Events:

12:30pm Registration and Check In (onshore activities and music from 1:00 – 3:00)
1:15pm Kick off Ceremony
1:30pm SUP Relay Race (2 person teams. Make own team or individuals will be paired)
2:15pm SUP Parade (attempt to break our record of 103 paddleboarders)
2:45pm School Rally, Raffle and Awards

COME GET YOUR SWIG ON!
The Cider Swig, presented by UPTOWN Gig Harbor, returns to Gig Harbor for the 6th annual CIDER SWIG. Dozens of regional ciders (and related libations) will be available to sip and savor, along with live music and entertainment on two stages, the annual “Battle of the Pie” Contest, apple launching, delectable curbside cuisine by area restaurants and food trucks, the Kids Applet Drop-off Center, and more!

Northwest cidermakers, vintners and distillers will present over 100 ciders, wine, mead and more. The popular Apple Carnivàle returns – replete with performers, arts and crafts, dancers, an array of carnival games, inflatable obstacle course, sticky wall, face painting, apple launching, demonstrations, and other fun and games.

Ciders, etc. presented for sampling during the festival will be for sale in the Cider Tent, so you can take your favorites home to enjoy!

Each ticket includes: 5 drink tokens, 6 oz. festival glass, and access to all live music and entertainment, food, the Apple Carnivàle Zone, and all other festival activities.

Additional cider tokens are available at festival. ID is required to enter the Cider Garden. Must be 21+ to enter the Cider Garden.

OTHER FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS
This is an accessible family-fun and dog-friendly event. Dogs are required to be on leash and under the control of their owners at all times.

The Applet Center (drop-off and activities), is hosted by GGHF Curious by Nature School in the Volunteer Vern Pavilion. For a small fee, children ages 2 to 12, can play games, create art, and have a blast in a safe, clean environment while you enjoy the Cider Garden and other festival activities.

Cider Swig proceeds support environmental education, restoration and conservation efforts across our greater peninsulas.

WANT TO VOLUNTEER?
Without people like you, the Festival could not happen. Cider Swig volunteers will receive reduced admission ticket ($18) for the Cider Garden, free festival t-shirt, festival tasting glass, one meal voucher … and have a great time!
