Harbor History Museum continues it’s Our Town series exploring the cultural influences in the Gig Harbor area.

This weekend begins with an exploration of Japanese culture.

  • On April 9th from 1:00-3:00pm, the family program will feature a special origami craft in the Museum lobby. Origami is fun and will teach you the cultural art and significance of paper-folding that is a unique part of Japanese cultural heritage.
  • On April 30th from 1:00-2:00pm, the Museum will host Masaye Nakagawa of the Asia Pacific Cultural Center as she leads attendees through the intricacies of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony.
  • Tickets are $12 for members and $15 for non-members.
